BIOS update utility - ThinkPad T500 and W500

Applicable countries and regions

This BIOS Update Utility updates the BIOS (system program including the Embedded Controller (EC) program) stored in the ThinkPad system to fix problems, add new functions, or expand functions as noted below.

This release supports the following systems:
- ThinkPad T500
- ThinkPad W500

The following operating systems are supported:
- Microsoft Windows Vista 32-bit
- Microsoft Windows Vista 64-bit (*2)
- Microsoft Windows XP (Home Edition and Professional)
- Microsoft Windows 2000

Notes:.
*1: This program is language independent and can be used with any language system.
*2: If Windows Vista 64-bit is already installed on your system, then you must use the bootable CD ISO format of this BIOS update.

(New) Added support for Intel WiMAX/WiFi Link 5350.
(Fix) Fixed an issue where the AMT menu of BIOS Setup Utility might not be displayed.
(Fix) Fixed an issue that did not detect SSD devices.
(Fix) Fixed an issue that might cause reboot failure.
(Fix) Fixed an issue that displayed a password prompt message at startup when a USB memory and/or USB hard drive is attached to the computer or Enhanced USB Port Replicator if BitLocker drive encryption was made on Windows Vista.
(Fix) Fixed an issue where Post failure might happen when using new Bay HDD adapter installed docking station.
(Fix) Fixed an issue where the TPM function might not work after resuming normal operation from standby state if the "Timer Wake with Battery Operation" option in BIOS Setup Utility was disabled.
